The OUTRIDERS came out with plenty of energy and intensity, setting the tone from the opening points and putting RIPS on the back foot early. Their fast start proved to be a key factor, as they built an early lead and never allowed RIPS to fully take control of the match.
João Ceolin led the charge with an outstanding performance, coming out strong and helping the OUTRIDERS establish an early advantage. Joaquin Benoit also turned in his best performance of the season, making important contributions throughout the night and providing a major boost in one of the team's most complete efforts of the year. As they have done all season, RIPS found success in the doubles. It has consistently been one of their biggest strengths, and once again they used it to chip away at the deficit and make the contest interesting late in the arc. Their comeback effort put pressure on the OUTRIDERS, but they were never quite able to erase the early gap. The OUTRIDERS remained composed in the closing stages, winning the key points when they mattered most and doing enough to hold onto their lead. Their balanced team performance and ability to respond whenever RIPS gained momentum ultimately proved to be the difference.
For RIPS, Noah Schachter endured a difficult night as the team struggled to find the consistency needed to complete the comeback. Despite battling until the final points, they were unable to overcome the OUTRIDERS' strong start.
With the victory, the OUTRIDERS officially clinch a playoff berth and continue to build momentum heading into the postseason. It was an impressive all-around team performance that showcased both their depth and their ability to close out an important match.
OUTRIDERS Head Coach Amy O’Connell:“This team can do anything that they set their minds to. They came ready to play today and our goals were to compete and have energy and they did that.”
RIPS Head Coach Torrey Hawkins:“We just got outplayed tonight. They played great hats off to them.”
