INTENNSE Week 6: RISE 180 vs. ALTITUDE 150

ALTITUDE competed hard from the opening point and showed plenty of fight throughout the night, but in the end RISE proved to be just a little too strong. While the final score may suggest otherwise, this was a much closer contest than the scoreboard reflects, with ALTITUDE staying within striking distance for much of the arc. Although ALTITUDE repeatedly kept the pressure on, they were never quite able to build the momentum needed to turn the tide. Every time they looked ready to make a run, RISE found an answer to halt the comeback and maintain control.

Once again, Carson Tanguilig demonstrated why she is firmly in the MVP conversation. She delivered another outstanding all-around performance, consistently winning key points and helping RISE extend their lead whenever the match tightened. Kevin King also turned in a strong performance, providing steady play and making several important contributions as RISE closed out the victory.

For ALTITUDE, there were still plenty of positives to take away. Despite a difficult season, they continued to compete with determination and never stopped battling, making RISE earn every point. Their effort and resilience kept the match competitive throughout, even if the final margin doesn't fully reflect how closely contested the arc was. RISE ultimately had too much quality in the biggest moments and walked away with the win.

RISE Head Coach Marcos Ondruska:“I think that is a fantastic effort. We had a tough one earlier in the week, and for the team to come back together and perform as well as they did tonight is incredible. I think the ALTITUDE played really well. Marcelo did a great job setting up their team, but our team played really well today.”

RISE Matthew Terry: Our mindset was just play big, play hard, and play all the way to the finish line.
